We had a distinguished visitor, Kenny Courtright, 5-time Indiana State Champion from Mitchell, Indiana. Kenny is retired from active play but is a living storehouse of knowledge of the old-time players.

I had a great time and lost one game to Neil Wenberg out of my 7 rounds of play. Interesting that 10-15,23-18,11-16 opening came up in two of my rounds. Everyone had a great time and Brandon will make a fine State Champion and District 6 winner. It was great to have young players like Brandon and Casey there , but we need a lot more young players like them coming into our game and the ACF. Cudos to Mr. Roger Blaine for running such a well organized tournament.
