Regardless, the bulk of the young players are in the 19, 20, and 21 age range, and it would have made a lot more sense to have the qualifying age set at 21. "says Ryan"

Ryan quite sensibly points out the way that it ought to be. Due to the lack of players in the "lets say" 14-18 yr old bracket there just isnt enough of them to make the thing work.I agree with Ryan it ought to be under21( at this moment in time) and for the foreseeable future.

Who finished ahead of Alex Moiseyev in all events both played since then ?Ron King did.

I want to make two points this is quite easily explained ,Ron King is the better Tournament player while Alex Moiseyev is the better Match player.!! Thats why Alex beat Ron in match play but also the reason why Ron king is rated ahead of him b/c of his Ty play.

The other point is that Shane Mc Cosker in reality is the real World Youth Champion (or should be) but as things stand hes not,but he does hold the moral high ground.!! We gotta play by the rules, all of them.

Lets put it this way:

Ron takes care of rest of the world, and I take care of Ron

There is no much difference in my play in Tournaments or matches. I try to make best moves always, no matter who is my opponent. I am playing (trying to play  ) scientific checkers and I know for sure - it works well on long run !

also on the youth age limit
an 18 19 20 21 year old can travel without
parents or anyone else reducing the cost of travel ......
any of the younger players have alot more costs to deal with
or atleast their parents do

Hi Patrick,
I was present only as a spectator in that 1989 match as I did not consider myself good enough to serve as a member of the GB and Ireland team versus the mighty USA.
Suffice it to say that I was proud of my late father's achievement in scoring seven of the ten wins scored by the entire GB and Ireland team.
I bought a copy of the 5th International Match book about ten years ago. I am not sure if the EDA still have copies for sale.
Best wishes.
Lindus.

They probably read my quote and now started thinking  The good outcome from this story is - they wake me up at the end of August when all this "tickets saga" started and now my preparation goes smoothly and very aggressively. I find a cook which can nearly beat one opening

I already finished 120 something openings. Hope rest will be done prior match start.

Regards,

Alex
