KY and IL
Why this year these two State tournaments happened at the same weekend ??? They were always separated in the past several years

Re: KY and IL
Actually, this same conflict has happened off and on over the last couple of decades. (I use to run the Illinois 101.) A shame -- as both are good events. I know Gene Ellison told me early in the year how the Illinois 101 always picks the same weekend (and had dates posted early in year), and he doesn't understand why KY picks the same weekend. I doubt this conflict was intentional, but it is a good idea for tournament directors to check the ACF calendar (this year's and perhaps the previous year) before booking your dates.

I always remember KY and IL being on the same weekend, or atleast almost on the same weekend.

Re: KY and IL
Not much details this year on ACF webpage regarding IL 101 Ty. I assume - it's the same location: in Marion, IL at the Illinois Centre Mall Food Court ... correct ? Motel - Super 8 at intersection corner ... ? What is room discount rate ?

Nathan,
I'm on phone with Gene Ellison right now.
He says he's glad to hear you may be back next spring and wishes you could come this weekend.

Re: KY and IL
Pal, many thanks to Gene Ellison and you for providing and posting information regards IL ty.
I'll be there, in Marion. This is probably first time
for many years, when plans of myself and my friend Alan Millhone, - separated ! He went to KY, I'm going to IL, where competition and turn seems to be a bit higher. Anyway - friends are evrywhere.
The only bad news is - Gene Lindsay will not be with us anymore
He was almost in my age, unbelievable !
Sincerely,
Alex Moiseyev
