My assumption is only based on what I saw personally. Bagtiyar play didn't impress me much in Ireland and if he was in top 3 three times in WQT - this only tells something about level of these events, but not his level.MostFamousDane wrote:Well if you perceive him to be a great player and he finished top 3 two times in a row
Just keep playing disregard everything. It is like zebra - bad days-good days and the only way you have - move ahead. Sooner or later black zone will be ended !MostFamousDane wrote:That is very impressive - I can't play at all unless I'm completely resten and feel well - you have to teach me how you do it.
This is understandable - people like sensationMostFamousDane wrote:The reason why I don't predict you or Ron King to finish first is that it would simply be too boring a prediction![]()
I totally agree with you that Swiss system is very unfair, but why do you think that all luck should go to my opponents ?MostFamousDane wrote:All statistics and history doesn't disprove my message - my assumption here is that they will use the schwiss system for the tournament with game scoring. The schwiss system only has one advantage and that is that it is pratical - it is hopelessly unfair
Based on my long (40 years) and strong experience in Swiss tournaments in different forms of checkers I can tell you - there are some math limitations here. If you lose 3 or more games - more likely you may not have enough room to collect points for the 1st place. Remember - I predicted to winner up to 32 points. If you lose 3 games - your maximum will be already 34 and you have to win all rest - 17 games !!!MostFamousDane wrote:I will make the opposite prediction that the winner will be one of the best players who has a bad day early in the tournament and loses some games
You still maybe OK if your opponents also lose good number of games
