Look back over the past few years and you'll see, this is the richest tournament in the country excluding Nationals...
They have always had: Near $3,000 in Cash - $400 + in door prizes - Free Lunches - Refreshments - Nice Playing Room, and a crowd of the strongest checker players in the cournty.

Strawberry Fields ? - named after a Salvation Army house in Beaconsfield Road, Woolton.

Humboldt, TN - May is the big month for TN strawberry harvest. Others locations like Dayton, TN also has a Strawberry Festival but Humboldt is the longest running strawberry festival... called West Strawberry Festival to seperate it from others. http://www.wtsf.org/dateandtimes.html Hugh Burton gets good support from the city of Humboldt at this timing and another reason why cash prize is large. http://www.wtsf.org/
