Jolt wrote:You seem mentally unstable Danny. From your messages, I can only imagine that your a combination of ignorance & immaturity. Of course you're not going to quit this forum, what else are you going to do with your life. First of all, I never claimed to be anything, nor have I claimed to be any level. Any perception you have of me is just a misconception that you've formulated from the 2-3 posts that I've made here.

Secondly, I never said I hated checkers.
The real question is, who is Danny Alvarez? A Pseudonym maybe? I don't know, I don't care either. From what I can see, you're the type of person with an obsession. Your obsessive tendencies ruin your life, you jump from points A to C skipping B. You are neither rational, nor content with your life. You're illogical, incoherent, and impulsive with all your posts in this thread.

Do you think it's normal to read through someones post for the past 3 years, taking snippets out of context just so that you could make a thread an attack someone? That's a rhetorical question, but the answer is no. Contrary to belief, I'm going to state that I don't have a problem with you personally. Don't really care what kind of fetishes your into and what you do with your free time. But, I do have a problem with this thread...which is nothing more than an unsubstantiated rambling of a mad man. You certainly don't have to apologize to me, but if you had any decency you would apologize to Josh.

Who are you fooling you idiot??? who is Danny Alvarez??? at least i use my name!!!! who the hell is Jolt???? That is a pseudonym, look up the definition, Einstein.

Keep fooling yourself, you arent fooling us. And i might be mad, but I am not a yellow belly chicken with airs of grandeur..... hold your breath for an apology.

Why aren't you taking the offer to attend the tournament??? the dog ate your homework???

ROFLMAO

you THINK you are fooling us, you are neither rational (what using a thesaurus makes you smart? LOL dream on Junior) nor someone who contributes here.

keep dreaming mister online grandmaster.

I don't see why you feel the need to make a thread to rant at a kid.

I think this was pointless and childish on your part, and nothing good will come out of this.
Adam the days for these lowlifes to hide behind the excuse "oh im only a kid " are over. They are men even if they refuse to act like men. If you want to see childish and personal attacks read what Jolt has written about me.... even though he doesnt know me.

Adam go and read a few of the things these 2 have spouted here and then we can talk mate. by the way they are also old enough to not need their friends to come and hold their hands either.

Someone here said that Jolt (he hasnt let us know who the hell he is yet) is one of the top 3 online players.... i didnt say that... someone else did
Josh Armstrong wrote:Calm down man. Name calling doesn't help at all..... The forum is here to express and discuss topics, and shouldn't be used to try to attack someone.
Tell that to your brother in arms Jolt and then we can all keep expressing our ideas... i am more than calm Josh. I just find it disgusting that you guys have the nerve to throw all the stones and when someone stands up to you, instead of owning up (like a man) you take the mickey out of it and do a "good cop, bad cop" routine. Jolt insults me and then you try to calm me down.

I see straight through all the BS mate... and i never attacked you Josh. I just pointed out that your behaviour was unacceptable. As far as your friend (is he a real person? or just a pseudonym? LOL) Jolt goes.... he attacked me, but when you play with fire , you get burnt so *shrug*.

cheers

What do you like about checkers?: The duality of checkers--it's both simplistic and complex.

Well, I don't endorse others opinion of me. If people want to think I'm God, then I can't help it. What I've noticed is that since you've joined the forum, everyone's post have become more belligerent. Everyone's arguing with each other, it makes for an unpleasant experience. I say we compromise, you delete all your posts in this thread, and I'll forget your lapse in judgment. I am sensitive to everyone's peculiarities. If this is your call for attention, then you've been heard. Let's just put this behind us.

If not, then you can be well assured that I will be making formal complaints about this aggressive behavior to the higher ups.

Alan, You do have the ability to "Lock" forum topics which would make stuff like this come to an abrupt end.

I will say a few things to each of you to state my opinions here.

Danny: I can appreciate your passion but cannot agree with your post. I do agree that it would be nice to see a little more support on the positive side of checkers other than pointing out the negativity. The decline of checkers is something everyone knows is happening but I know that I personally do not want to heard about it. I want to do what I can to help it and hear about what is being done to make things better. We tend to be optimistic people. I can assure you that Jolt and Josh have spent a significant amount of time in their lives dedicated to checkers and they have as much right as you do to share how they feel. You were out of line from the start in my opinion but do not mean any disrespect.

Jolt and Josh: I do not like it when you blatantly say that this game is dead and not worth anyone's time. I don't disagree with you though (coming from the guy who spends almost everyday trying to make this game better for our future). You are very right... the game is at a steady decline.... throwing it in our faces is comparable to holding an old family member in front of us while u shake him around and say "HEY GUESS WHAT???? HE"S GONNA DIE SOON".... Just not something that we want to hear. I enjoy playing the game as my main hobby and enjoy it and will do what i can to help make it better. Your comments don't help.

Everyone in this topic has posted inappropriately and nobody needs to be held liable for anything. We are too small of a group to be out casting each other. Lets all relax

Alan, You are right. This rabble is totally unhelpful to the promotion of Checkers/draughts. Danny, you were correct to start a new thread and hope things would improve, I take no pleasure in telling you that you grossly underestimated your task. To me ( a probably never to be an ACF member) there is a group of small minded posters on this forum who are hell bent on causing acrimony and trouble. I regret to say that our current 3-move World Champion, Alex Moiseyev seems to be the ringleader. He insults at will, solely because he has been getting away with it. I feel the moderators should step in and ban anybody who intentionally posts with malicious comments towards any poster who disagrees with their opinion. Only yesterday Alex Moiseyev posted about (FOREIGN JERKS) who opposed his proposals to spend ACF members' funds on bribing online players to play in real life tourneys. Alex, USA passport or otherwise, I believe the fact that you are actually Russian puts you in the same category. Sorry ALEX, you are a great player and a worthy world champion, but you have let yourself down. As an ambassador to this game you claim can be revived, you have let yourself down, you have let the game of draughts down and you have also let these gullible children who foolishly look up to you down. Regards, Bernard.

It appears that a decent sized portion of this forum has gone "off the rails"........

Thats not a problem and maybe even better for everyone. If you want to donate to "online players travel fund" you can do it directly even without being an ACF member. Your donation will help ACF with good savings.

Jason / Richard, can we add an icon for this to ACF Store ? I am surprize noone proposed to do this before.

Alex, This is an admission on your part that your denials of ACF bankrolling of their, or is it YOUR online buddies???? free access to ACF tournaments does not stand up. I know I cannot shame you as you have the charisma of a 7 foot crocodile which has not eaten for several weeks, Regards, Bernard

There is already a variety or related ACF Store donation buttons for "Travel Fund Donation," "Dream Young Donation (for youth)" plus the "L. Kondlo travel fund" and generic "ACF Donation". There is nothing currently specifically-worded for on-line players (although I suppose this could be added), but the travel fund button would suffice. Plus, I generally confer with donor what their intentions are.
