Numbered boards and scoresheets

What do you like about checkers?: I enjoy learning more and more as i go. despite its alleged simplicity the game is incredibly complex and rewarding.

despite the fact I have never played at a tournament I would have to agree with Jim & Tommy. I fail to see how having a numbered board would hurt the chances of any of the real experts.
The point that is often missed is the following... are we making it harder or easier for new players to join/learn/love our game???.

Exactly my point Danny..............but rules are made usually by the top "wigs" not us poor souls.Its the keep em down thinking................dont let em up. So entrenched they are.
Always read "Cannings Compilation 2nd Edition" every day.
