If possible, I would like to meet with all checker players who are Pennsylvania residents sometime during the 2012 PA/Dist checker tourney!

Congratulations to Tim for fine victory and congratulations to Joe for retaining PA State Champion title.

Two PA residents in Master Division and two in Major not very impressive but overall number - 16 looks good.

It seems like this year I missed a good but quite expensive party ! :D

Although Clara had annual graduation performance in ballet school which I can't miss. This year she participated in Modern Dance and did great.

Alex Holmes debut in Master Division looks impressive and promising, he definetely improved. It's up to Michael now to guide him in right directions. In ACF National Master Division there might be some psychological trauma for Alex but if he can handle it - why not ? Major Division for him looks better in my eyes because some important and crucial steps in career and progress cannot be missed or skipped.

Greetings to all,

Respectfully,

Alex Moiseyev
I am playing checkers, not chess.

Thanks JR, I just put the ratings in for all 4 divisions. Very easy work due to the small divisions. You will notice that no rating changes have taking place for the under 17 tournament. The reason for this is because if you play an opponent who has played under 20 games, your rating cannot change. All the kids were playing their first games so no rating could take place yet. I will see if we can make an exception for this one.

And no exception for this one. Rules are rules but once the kids play some outside competition they will get their ratings.

JR needs to be commended for an excellent page on the Dist. 3 and PA Open Checker Tournament 2012. However, He left out just one very important item. We must congratulate Ray Shelly on winning the District 3 Minor Class Championship. Ray was able to sweep the District 3 Minor Class title without losing a game. In fact he won every game playing in racing to this title!
