NT2006 Selected Games and Positions.

I am glad to announce that full complete vserion of the book PDF file is ready now and submitted to ACF. It includes most recent corrections made in the past few days by Richard Beckwith and Michael Holmes.

The book contains 80 pages and includes 171 diagrams in Game Section and 36 diagrams in Position Section. 54 best games from US National 2006, 3-move, are fully annotated with diagrams.

The book has been done in similar to SIXTH style and has some of my personal remarks, comments and tips.

The book also has two appendixes: Games Opening Index and ACF Tough Deck (revised 2006).

This book is a property of ACF. As far as I know - ACF plans to sale it by POD method - print on demand, and will start accept pre-oders and payments (obviously more than $15, which already expired !). It will be well bounded version of book.

Maybe Mr. Millhone perhaps clarify prices for us here  The ball now is in his court !

Sincerely yours,

Alex Moiseyev

2006 National Games

Post by Alan Millhone »

Hello Mr. Alex:

For many years the 'select' games consisted of about 50 games with little or no annotations for about $15.00 . Games took up about 3 sheets of paper (front and back) and were mailed in a long envelope that took one stamp .

Mr. Alex's expanded " select " games take up about 77 pages and are full of annotations, comments, refrences to other games, etc. Just like reading another chapter of " SIXTH " . Another excellent contribution to Checker literature and another fabulous learning tool for all classes of players.

I feel these games are worth $35.00 in a spiral binding and clear front and back covers, or do what I do............. I go to my local Office Depot
and insert them in a 3-ring bnder from there that has a clear 'slip sleeve' cover to hold the first page . The binder stands up nicely in my checker book library. Profit is not a dirty word and the ACF would like to make a small profit off each set we sell.

We would not have the games to sell if it were not for the hard work of our 3-Move World Champion and I want to personally thank Mr. Alex for his hard work in getting the games completed. A true work of art in my opinion.

I will have some copies with me in March at the Tennessee Tournament to sell and will also have copies of the hardbound 8th. International games to sell . If you have interest in purchasing one or both please let me know ahead of time.

Sincerely:
Alan Millhone, President
American Checker Federation
