"Worlds Premier Checker Problemist"--answer

Post by Mr. Checkers »

 He was the first American composer to be awarded the American title in 1939, and the first American composer to hold the "World's Title". And in recognition of the above and the fine analysis required for many of his problematical end game positions have won for him an honorary membership in the Canadian Checker Association. His 2 x 2 "First Position in Embryo" is an all tme classic, which is highly recommended as an excerise for improving the end game. "Checker Trivia" question of the Day?" Who was this fine problemist of our game? "Mr. Checkers"
