Good Luck In Las Vegas

Post by Dennis Cayton »

Greetings Checker Friends!

I am guessing that a lot of you have now arrived in Las Vegas for the 2007 ACF Derek Oldbury Go-As-You-Please (GAYP) National Tournament.

For those of you who brought laptops or have access to an internet kiosk, maybe you will get to read my message.

My message is that I want to wish each and every one of you the best of success with the outcome of your tournament in Las Vegas.

I hope you all have some enjoyable and challenging games.

Finally, I hope that you are able to enjoy some of the many attractions that Las Vegas has to offer when you are not in front of a checker board.

With deep regrets, I was not able to attend this year. I love Las Vegas more than any other city in the United States. If I could have found a way to be there, I would be there with you right now.

Although I can not join you physically, I will be there with you in spirit.

This is a spirit of fraternal brotherhood with those of us who were blessed to have discovered and developed a love for the grand old game during our lives.

Honor this spirit.

Be the best player that you can be.

Be the best sport that you can be.

Good luck to all.

May God bless you all.
