I know, I will be seriously criticized on this forum, but I'll take a chance :D and congratulate GAYP Ron King with defending his title in very strong and respectable manner.

I think It is a bit shame that during several hours after official announcement on checkers website, noone did this

I also want to congratulate Lubabalo for earning the rights and playing this match.

Ron did not only lose the single game or being in lost, but also didn't have any serious problems or reasonal disadvantage in all games. Remarkable achievment of long time champ !

We have to respect our champions :D otherwise we have nothing to respect at all !

I also wish Lubabalo good luck and best, and I hope we'll see him soon on arena of our old checkers circus !

Regards,

Alex Moiseyev

Congratualtions to the old and new Wolrd Champion Ron King!
Plz raise for the national anthem of Barbados.

This was a World Championship and not a sunday trip, so I can perfectly understand why he played determined and controlled, which is indeed the play of a champon, nothing more and nothing less.
Also my respect to Lubabalo Kondlo.
Obvioulsy he is one of the few that can force Ron King to play tight, and that alone is a true achievement.
He may have another try at the WC in the future, and let's not forget:
Ron King was the more expirienced in terms of WCM.
Next time Kondlo will do a different preparation and have a different match strategy.
I can''t wait for the games,

Greetinx from sunny old Europe,

P.S:
Alex , it is a weekend, so what did you expect?
Checkers is no popular sport, and our World Champions owe more respect in my eyes then those of more polular sports, as they do it not for fame and fortune, but for the love of the game.
