What do you like about checkers?: Always enjoyed the game and the challenge it brings. Just you and your opponent battling your minds. Also, it's just a friendly game that people can just sit and have fun playing while communicating with each other.

Just wanted to say I really enjoyed the 2011 Southern States Tournament. The past two tournaments at Lebanon that I have played in have been nothing but the best. Frank and Mary Davis do a great job and are great people. Even though I did not play well at this tournament, there is nothing better than fellowship with friendly people, making new friends and visiting old ones. Thank you to everyone who attended this year's Southern Tournament.

I hate that I couldn't have been there but I'm very happy that my Uncle John won. He's won the last two tournaments he's attended hope he plays well at the GAYP national.

Please notice on Pal's table the players are ranked as finish position, but you can't use their numbers as the opponents the player played, but must go back to original list and use it as their number which is alphabetically listed and this is also the opponent's number uses in the
1T3
format.

I didn't think about that JR.

I went back and edited my post by adding each player's number in front of their name.

Congratulations to Dr. Webster with outstanding victory, just one more prove the level of Maestro. Even when John is far from his best form, he never goes down more than just top sixth, but when he is in good form - hard to compete with him. I wish John best in the upcoming GAYP National.

2nd: Larry Keen - when he doesn't win an event it's already sensation.

3rd: Joe Schwartz - for ordinary players when they are getting older level is dropping, but in Joe case his level of play goes up with his years. All he needs - just wait another 5-10 years and he will be unbeatable !

4th: Clayton Nash - performance little bit below his class, could be better. It seems like Clay is in the middle of turning point to another, higher level. During this period (of turning) stability is dropping and results are shaking: going up-down. But one day he wake up and ... it's here !
