What do you like about checkers?: I enjoy learning more and more as i go. despite its alleged simplicity the game is incredibly complex and rewarding.

Meeting Face 2 Face

Post by Danny_Alvarez »

Yesterday i had a very enjoyable meeting with John Guetta (from NZDA) . We had a couple of coffees and a bit of a chat as well as a few games of checkers. John is one of the few people i have met in person and i was very impressed with him. A real gentleman, somehow i know this won't be the last time we have a chat :)

John, if you are reading this .... Checkers needs more people like you. :)
I hope that in the near future i can also get to know the rest of you guys in the northern hemisphere.

cheers

Its lovely that Danny and John met,and made the effort to meet.It would be good to get a tournament going between Australians and New Zealanders,as we are not too far away.

Jan that's a great idea. I have found 4 players so far and my plans are as follows (today, they might change) hold 1 or 2 fun tournaments this year and a serious "national tournament" next year. Once I have recruited a few players I would love to do an ANZAC Checkers tournament :)

Cheers
