Did I miss anyone ? I am also apologise if someone thinks he should be among top 12, not alternatives ... or not added to alternatives. Everyone is strong enough and it is really very hard to rank players. Maybe we need just 16-20 boards for one side match ?

I would put LaVerne Wray in place of Ryan Pronk, though to be fair I haven't seen Ryan play in quite some time.

I agree with you unless Ryan gets more practice and recover to his level.

Some other good changes also can be done. All we need - 20 boards I think we have several more players (at least to say) at the same level or close. Most of them are matching to the 40%-50% of Tommy list.

In the past 10 years we lost the following people who must be on this list:

1) Elbert Lowder - passed away
2) Gene Lindsay - passed away
3) Ed Bruch - passed away
4) Les Balderson - passed away
5) Hugh Burtoin - gets older and became inactive

Almost half of team If all of them would be on team today - it would be one-side match

On positive note - I spoke during 2012 with some of American players and they told me they are ready to come to Europe on their own expanse (fully and partially) and play.

I think that a more realistic team ....American players are bad travellers.........this line up have very poor chance.

On the other hand if the match was USA SIDE .........would have better /even chance.

But its interesting so lets get in on.... but you will need to get all of em Cannings /Pask Comp first!! Can you afford it??

I am trying very hard to have Alex Holmes' mom get him a passport. He really wants to start playing in these WQT's and to be honest he should be considered to be on the team. Passport first though.

Michael, thats a good idea if you tell me - who must be remove (replace) from my provisional list But probably the best way would be - increase number of boards and team members in match ... up to 16-20.

In the European tournaments noone would need to be removed in order for Alex Holmes to play in them. Spots have been left open in the WQT that could be filled by Alex Holmes (not just as the youth but as a master too). I think the USA team would welcome his fresh and energetic style (attitude too) to the game. I cannot be the one to name those who will be on our USA Team but the near tournament results can help position the playing strength of those individuals who want to be on the team and can make the trip overseas to play. This is a very serious conversation that should be started now.

Michael, I will talk with Richard and see - what we can do (if anything!). The main goal is - build the strongest possible winning team. Maybe WCDF can help us to organize this event and include it into calendar ... lets say every 4-5 years.

And if we (USA or North America) can't make a team which has chances to win match - I won't be there and withdrew myself, because I am not loser and don't like to play in events where I can't win.

I also like a "continent" idea when our collegues from Canada and Mexica (not strong players at the moment) can be on our team.

What continent Ron King should present ... South America, North America ... ? I am not a geography expert in such depth He also has British passport.

I also am in great favor to host next 3-moves QT in USA - something which was never done since 2003 when WCDF was founded. Some sort of my long time dream.
