Help! Contest 17 Needs U 2 Break 3 Way Tie

Post by Bill Salot »

Colleagues, we try to make our checker problem composing contests competitive, but this is ridiculous. Unless one of us casts a tie-breaking vote in the final few days of this month, we will have our first 3-way tie.

Won't you be the one? Please?

Here is the link.

Thanks to the several players who came through with votes during the last two days of the contest. You broke all of the ties.

Check the contest page for interesting details.

Contest #17 had very interesting problems that met the theme of the contest. Contest #17 also contrasted well with Contest #16. The problems in #16 were spectacular shots. The problems in #17 were subtle, showing the small margin of victory in Anglo-American Checkers. As always, the debriefing after the contest is entertaining and enlightening!
