Re: what is the Most exciting tournament for 2016
For me it would definitely be the U.S. Nationals Masters 3-Move. This tournament generated a lot of excitement. (Why this is not featured prominently on the ACF Home Page is beyond me !) This was a great comeback for Sergio Scarpetta, after losing his GAYP World Title to Michele Borghetti in a close match.
The U.S. National 2016 results in July in Branson, Missouri were 1st Place Sergio Scarpetta with 40 points, 2nd Place Alex Moiseyev with 38 points, and 3rd Place Ron King with 36 points, with no "honor points" needed! The three former world champions dominated a strong field of master players, and Sergio Scarpetta went above and beyond proving himself worthy of challenging Michele Borghetti for the 3-Move World Title in 2017....The prize money of over $18,000 USD helped too!
