"Talk About True Love for Checkers"

Post by Mr. Checkers »

 Maurice Chamblee spent his honeymoon playing checkers at the 1948 U.S. National Checker Tournament, which was held in Brownwood, Texas. Now that is really "true love for our game"--. "Mr. Checkers"

Greetings Mr. Checkers,
Marvin Rex also spent his honeymoon at this tourney...... Cannot tell who was more devoted, i.e., these men to the game, or these ladies to their men...?... lol

Regards,
Jay H
