This match will be played in ICHF from January 18 (Friday) thru January 21 (Monday) or January 22 (Tuesday) if we have tie score after 16 games.

We have $3,200 match fund from two major donors:

Joe McDaniel's and his wife - $3,000.00
Richard Beckwith - $200

Because Michael Holmes is not an official candidate and never won 11 man ballot National or being second after myself, this match is considered as "Independent Challenge" and I will get $2,000 in front of match.

Charles Walker will be match Referee.

We'll play under standard time control - 24 moves per each hour to each player.

Match is near. I bought my tickets and coming to Laurel Hattiesburg airport next week on Thursday January 17. Match resume next day on January 18.

WE have a honor guests - Joe McDaniel with his wife and there is very good chance that some players from NC also may attend.

If I am not mistaken, this suppose to be my 8th 11 man ballot World Title Match and 1st for Michael.

Thanks, JR. Some comments sent to me directly from Alex Moiseyev.

In first day I won 2 games and 2 draws. But in game #2 having a strong side of opening, Mlchael missed a win and even lost game! Opening #1: OFF 7,23, moves 11-15 23-19. Opening #2: OFF 5,23. Moves 9-14 22-18

Today I won 3 games out of 4 and missed a win in game #3. Opening #3: OFF 11, 22. Moves 9-14 24-19. I won both games. Opening #4: OFF 9,23. Moves 9-14 (5-9) 25-19. I won last game with red. Total score after 2 days, 8 rounds: 5-0-3 (I won 5 games and 3 draws).

I will add my "Selected Positions with Diagrams" comments to all 10 games next week. Some diagrams will be very attractive to see how grands and strong masters are missing! Some people said that it was "one site match" but I certainly strongly disagree with this! Missing a win (and even losing!) in Game #2 had a big psychological influence on Michael play along with small match experience. I am sure in the next match with anyone, he will be better prepared and armed!

I want to thanks again our major match contributors Joe McDaniels with his wife and of course Charles Walker who secured host of this match in ICHF.

It wasn't easy for Michael to lose with such a big margin but he behaved as real gentleman and congratulated me at the end of match.

Hopefully this year we should have our next 11 man ballot National … based on rumors I guess in NC ? Also many thanks to JR - great promoter of11 man ballot style.

As an official and true 11 man ballot World Champion in the past 10 years, I am always open and welcome challenge from anyone!
