We will follow CDC guidelines, Quality/Dutch Inn General Manager, Amanda Reeves has agreed to set up one board per tables 6ft apart in their 150 capacity banquet/conference room. This will give our tournament group of checker players plenty of social distancing and Quality Inn, as well as NCCA, will have ample COVID protection available: (face mask, gloves, hand sanitizer, sanitizer wipes, etc.)

What: The 103rd Virginia Open & 130th North Carolina State/D4
8 rounds - 4 Friday & 4 Saturday • 2 games per rd • 2½ hour rounds • 1 opening using the 156 ballot deck • may request time clocks • 2 Divisions: $30 Master, $25 Majors entry fees • ACF Sanctioned / Rated Tournament • ACF membership required which may be purchased at registration • Prize Fund $2,500, door prizes, trophies, & plaques • Winner or the highest finishing VA & NC resident will be recognized as The 2020 VA & NC State Checker Champions • Our 2020 District 4 Champion will be the highest finishing District 4 resident • This year we combined all 3 tournaments because of CDC COVID-19 guideline concerns • 6ft-Apart, Mask, Gloves, Sanitizer / Wipes are required & furnished • Full details @ www.nccheckers.org

Congratulations to Ryan Pronk for third place overall as well as the VA Championship and the D4 Championship, all by one honor point! Congratulations to Teal Stanley for ninth place overall and the NC Championship. Congratulations to Grover Minor for tenth place overall and the NC Sr Championship. Congratulations to Buck Smith for 12th place overall and the VA Sr Championship.
