"Edgar Allan Poe" of Checkers--answer
Today we received a wonderful letter from this gentlemen of checkers whose extensive collection of checker literature would command ones attention, but he is better known for his lovely poetry; which he has shared with all of us many times over the years. Although he is a fellow collector of fine checker literature this is the first piece of correspondence that we have ever received from him as I recall; therefore it will be treasured for many years to come. Although we don't hear from him on the ACF Forum I am sure that he would welcome hearing from all of you. "Checker Trivia" question of the Day"? Who is this 84 year old checker veteran, fellow collector and distinguished checker poet? (Cont.)
