UK stockists of 8th INT match

Post by David Harwood »

Is the 8th INT matchbook available to buy from any one in the Uk or do I need to order a copy from the US?

Hello David:

Nice to hear from you and I remember the nice lunch we had together at the Golden Gate Restaurant in Vegas during the International Match :-)

There is no one on your side of the Ocean who has any copies as they were all printed and bound in the USA. $45.00 for you to order, add an extra $8.00 if you desire air mail shipping. The book is luxurious with almost 200 pages and a bit hefty. You can order via PayPal on our ACF Store or send me a money order made in US Dollars to:

Dave, it is a clever decision to buy this book !

When you get it - look at G26, Pg. 44 where you can see how you can score a fantastic win against Richard Beckwith in the first round !

This fact amazed many  Several people didn't beleive me when I sent my annotations and proved the win. We all analyzed this position deeply long time before we comeup and agreed with final verdict - white missed a win !

Respectfully,

 Dave if you hold up your order on the "8th" until Alex finishes his work on the "2006 U.S. National Games" (which will be soon) then you can have them both sent to you at the same time and save on the shipping charges. And for a few dollars more you can also have them send you a fine copy of the "Book of the Year"--Alex's "6th"; so that will save you even more on the shipping costs. What better way to start out your "New Year" than to add these three checker gems to your draughts library!! "Merry Christmas" Ms. Becky

Ms. Becky, I suspect Mr. Harwood may already have SIXTH  But combining "Selected ..." and "8th IM" is a good idea to save some money. And if both books will be ordered through ACF Store, this also (not sure) may save costs for online transaction fees. Dr. Beckwith or Alan Millhone can clarify this.

 Alex you can never have to many checker books around this time of year, because you will need them when all of the grandchildren come over to visit to prop them up higher at the dinning room table. This will be something for you to look forward to in the future. "Merry Christmas" Ms. Becky
